FAQ
What are the salaries of actors?
Actor pay ranges from $1 million per movie to less than $100,000 for independent films. The average actor receives between $10,000 and $20,000 for a film. Many actors get no pay. It all depends on their success. It all depends on how successful they are.
How many films does Hollywood make in a given year?
The number of films produced by Hollywood studios each year is approximately 3,000. Three thousand!
Hollywood spends billions advertising these films. They spend millions to produce them. They also spend millions marketing them. How many end up being released in theaters?
It is likely that the answer is between 200-300. The question is, what happens to all the other 2,700+ films? They are either distributed as direct-to–video releases or simply left in storage.
However, not all of them are unavoidable. Some of these have been selected to be distributed via Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu Plus.
Hence why don't more of these films be released? Why aren’t they being shown in theaters instead? They're too expensive.
They could also be made cheaper and put into theaters.
That's where my expertise comes in. I'll help you find the best way for your film to be released in theaters.
I'll show how to maximize your return-on-investment (ROI) as well as increase your chances for seeing your movie in theatres.
Let's face the facts...
It can be challenging to get your film into theaters. The process is long, complex and full of legalities.
It can also come at a high cost before you even begin.
It is even more difficult to distribute your film within a limited timeframe.
There is not enough time to wait between the completion of a film and its theatrical release.
What is the difference between a producer and a distributor?
Produced by a producer, the movie is produced. The distributor distributes the movie. Distributors, theaters and other companies, such as Netflix, can be sold directly by producers. Distributors acquire movies from producers. Then they sell them to theaters, cable channels, or streaming services.
Distributors should negotiate with theater owners regarding where their movies are playing. This means that certain movies might be more expensive at some theaters than others. A distributor should have multiple theaters in order to ensure that your movie is seen by as many people possible.
