The distribution fee is approximately $500,000. If you have 100 screens then that would mean your cost to distribute the screen(s) is around $500,000.

Is Hollywood more important than Bollywood?

Producing a movie that is well-received by the public is the biggest challenge for film producers.

Problem is that many movies are competing for people's money and time. The problem is that you will not be seen if you aren't different from the rest.

What makes a movie a success? What makes an actor or director famous? Or a director? It's not only talent, but also luck. Even if you have the most talented actors in the world they won't be able to make it work if they write bad scripts.

And when it comes to films, there are two main types: big-budget blockbusters and small independent productions. Production and distribution of blockbuster movies costs hundreds of millions. They are made by huge studios, who want to make sure their movies reach as many people possible. But these big-budget films tend to appeal mainly to older audiences.

Independent films can be smaller productions funded by individuals or groups. These films focus on niche markets or cater to particular tastes. They are generally less costly to produce and market. But, they aren't necessarily cheaper to view. In fact, most indie films are very hard to find.

So, the question is, do we need both kinds of films? Are we going to need both big blockbuster movies or small independent films? Well, I think that Hollywood is actually bigger than Bollywood. Hollywood produces more movies than India every year.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in 1960 established the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The HWOF's Los Angeles location is at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard. It's made up of 2,711 stars, which are embedded in the sidewalk on Hollywood Boulevard. Each star represents an individual who contributed to popular culture, such as television, radio or theater. The HWOF currently lists 1,922 people.

You will need to submit your application to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in order to be considered for membership to the HWOF. Once submitted, your name will be sent to the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. After being approved, you will be issued a certificate stating your name, date and place of birth. It also includes information about your occupation, occupation and category. A bronze plaque with your personalization is also provided. This plaque is attached on a concrete base at the star.

You may apply to be a star if you are nominated by a HWOF member or if you make significant contributions to television, radio, TV, theatre, music or other forms of "popular culture". A committee evaluates all nominations and then decides whether to approve them. If they do, they will send a letter explaining their decision to the applicant at his/her home address. If the person accepts, they will be sent a second letter to confirm their acceptance. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce then charges $25 and forwards the money on to the City of Los Angles Department of Cultural Affairs.

The department issues a check payable to the Hollywood Chamber of commerce, which sends the check to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Foundation. The foundation pays the applicant or organization. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce receives half of the fee ($12.50). The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs gets the rest.

Once the artist receives his/her star he/she will be eligible to be inducted into the HWOF. To be eligible to list on the HWOF you will need to pay the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce all outstanding balance. The amount due depends on how many years ago you were first nominated. For example, $15,000. Suppose you were first nominated as a nominee in 1990. If you were nominated for the first time in 1990, you would owe $15,000.

To remove yourself from HWOF, contact the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. They will help you pay the remaining debt. They will remove your name from this list.

How old must one be to get a HWOF star

You must be at the least 18 year old to be nominated. To receive a coveted star, one must be at least 18 years old. A star can be renominated after 10 years.

What happens if I die before my star gets put up?

Your family members can nominate you for a star. If there are no living relatives, then the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will place a memorial marker in front of the star.

Why can't we just choose a different street and not have stars all over?

The HWOF is not meant to be a historical monument. It honors those who made history through film.
