FAQ
What's the difference between a manufacturer and a distributor?
The movie is created by a producer. The movie is distributed via a distributor. Producers can sell their movies directly to theaters, distributors, or other companies like Netflix. Distributors purchase movies directly from producers. They then sell them to theaters and cable channels or streaming services.
Distributors must negotiate with theater owners where their movies will be shown. This means that some theaters may charge more to see a certain movie than others. If you want your movie to be seen by as many people as possible, you should choose a distributor with many theaters.
Why don't more filmmakers use crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo?
Crowdfunding is a great way to connect with potential investors.
But most filmmakers don't think they're qualified to ask for money. They feel they must have someone to speak for them.
Even though they aren't yet proven to be themselves, they don't believe that anyone should put money into them.
Instead, they spend months focusing on their project and hoping that someone will notice.
They realized that they hadn't prepared properly when they launched their campaign.
Instead of receiving thousands upon thousands of dollars, the recipients end up with a handful donations.
What are the steps to starting my own distribution company
No. A distributor is required to operate a distribution firm.
You don't have to distribute films from other people, but you must still follow certain rules.
You can't, for example, charge different prices to different theaters. Also, you cannot charge different fees to different customers.
Your services cannot be sold to any company.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in 1960 established the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The HWOF's Los Angeles location is at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard. It's made up of 2,711 stars, which are embedded in the sidewalk on Hollywood Boulevard. Each star represents an individual who contributed to popular culture, such as television, radio or theater. There are 1,922 individuals currently listed on HWOF.

Once you are approved, you will receive a certificate of eligibility that includes your name, date, residence, occupation, category, and other information. You will also receive a bronze plaque engraved with your name. This plaque will be attached to a base of concrete in front the designated star.
You can apply for a star if a current member of the HWOF nominated you or if you made significant contributions to movies, television, radio, theatre, music, or something else considered part of "popular culture." A committee reviews the nominations and determines whether they should be approved. If they do approve them, they send a note to the home address of the applicant stating their decision. The person who accepts the nomination will receive a second confirmation letter. The Hollywood Chamber of commerce then sends $25 to the City of Los Angles Department of Cultural Affairs.
