They could also be made cheaper and put into theaters.

They might delay the release of low-budget films until after the summer blockbuster series has begun.
Distributors will also attempt to keep movies away from viewers until they have spent hundreds of dollars on popcorn, tickets, or candy.
After all, they don't want to lose out on those profits.
Can I create my own distribution organization?
No. A distributor is required to operate a distribution firm.
Even though you might not be distribution films for other people, there are still rules.
