FAQ

What happens if my movie doesn't do well at the box office

If your film does not do well at the box office, there are many things that could happen.

You might want to change the marketing of your film.

You may also choose to rework your script.

You might also consider adding new characters.

Fourth, you may decide to remove certain characters.

Fifth, you might choose to cut scenes.

Sixth: You might decide the film was not worth making.

Is Hollywood more important than Bollywood?

Producers face the greatest challenge of making sure their movie is seen by viewers.

There are so many movies out there competing for your time and money. If you don't stand out, your chances of being seen are slim.

But what makes a movie popular? What makes an actor famous or a director? Or a director? Talent is not enough. It also requires luck. You might have all the best actors in the world, but if they're working on a bad script, nothing will come of it.

Two main types exist when it comes down to film: large-budget blockbusters or small independent productions. Production and distribution of blockbuster movies costs hundreds of millions. These movies are often made by large studios that want their films to reach as many people as possible. These big-budget movies appeal to older audiences.

Independent films can be smaller productions funded by individuals or groups. These films usually target specific markets and appeal to specific tastes. They're usually less expensive to produce and market. They aren't always more affordable to watch, however. Many indie films can be difficult to find.

So, the question is, do we need both kinds of films? Do we need big blockbuster movies and small independent ones? Hollywood is more important than Bollywood. Hollywood produces twice as many movies per annum than India.

How many theaters do I need to make back my investment?

It depends on how long you plan to run your theatrical release.

You will only need one theater to show your film if you plan to run it for less that two weeks.

You will need at least two theaters if you plan to keep your film running for more than 2 weeks.
